A beautiful example of a 1959 Gretsch Country Gentleman that was played professionally for many years by the late, great Tasso Mavris. At some point the bridge was replaced with a Tune-O-Matic and the Tuning Machines were replaced many years ago as well. There is a head stock repair from what appears to have been a crack as opposed to a full break. It was done a long time ago and is holding up well. Note the inlay pattern, which is quite interesting. Tasso used this instrument for many years over the course of his career. I had the opportunity to meet him around 2008 and he was such a consummate professional and truly a pleasant person. Sold.
