Our client had issues with the original neck on his Godin Multiac and wanted Roman Guitars to make him a custom neck. He wanted a Mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard. He also requested a more standard style of head stock with an Ebony head stock overlay as opposed to the peg head classical styled head stock. He had a custom neck taper as well with a hand rubbed oil finish. He also had us put a Tusq nut and requested 6105 frets. For the body, he wanted the shop to change the original route to a full sized hum-bucker sized route for a Seymour Duncan Benedetto B6 pickup. Other customization included locking tuners, custom truss rod cover, 250 mmR radius and narrowing the neck a little.
Here is what he said after receiving the completed job:
"I just got the guitar back today - And I just wanted to send you my thanks on the amazing job.
I don’t know how you and the team did it - but you managed to capture the width / feel of the JS necks which I like.. I certainly didn’t expect it to be so close! I didn’t have my hopes up given how different the guitars are..
And in addition the notes play super good all the way up the neck - which hasnt been the case on that guitar for a very long time due to some neck warp.
Great job on the pickup as well - we’re finally free of the tiny crappy sounding minibucker..
Could you do me a favor and take a pic with you and the guy(s) that worked on the neck and guitar? Something for the scrapbook.
Great job again and you’ll always have my top notch reviews / recommendations
Josh"
